Another year of a huge selection of heirloom tomatoes and peppers at Thienemans. We know many of you have been waiting for a list of varieties for this year. Below is a list of the over 100 tomato varieties, many of them from our very own Gary Millwood’s personal collection. We will be posting descriptions of the tomatoes just as soon as we can.<\/p>\n
Along with tomatoes we will have peppers (of course), tomatillos, eggplant, cucumber, squash, zucchini, pumpkin, and spinach. We’ve got a great new eggplant called Hanzel, it has deep purple fruit that you can harvest at small tasty 2 inches or anytime up till a large plump 10 inches. And this year we also have a white pumpkin. Let’s not forget about all those great herbs we offer as well, nothing goes better with a fresh tomato than some fresh basil.<\/p>\n
All of these wonderful fruits and veggies will be available Friday April 25th at 9am. So come and come early for the best selection. Gary Millwood, our resident tomato expert will be with us on Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th to guide you through your tomato choices. Tomato and pepper plants will be $1.99 each. <\/p>\n
